Kogi decides: Alleged ballot snatcher shot dead in Anyigba

A young man identified as Umoru Iduh was reportedly shot dead at the Agala-Ogane polling unit, in Anyigba metropolis, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, for allegedly snatching electoral materials during the ongoing governorship poll.

It was gathered that Iduh was gunned down around 10:00 am while voting was about to commence at the said polling unit in the area.

According to an eye witness, the late Iduh forcefully grabbed the BVAS machine and smashed it on the ground in a bid to stop voting at the said polling unit.

“A person, suspected to be a vigilante, rushed in from the crowd and fired at him, killing him instantly,” the eye witness, Abdullahi Danjuma, who claimed to be in the polling unit to vote at the time of the incident, said.
