The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC National Campaign Council for Bayelsa State, and the Governor of Gombe State, on Wednesday, proceeded to Bayelsa State for a grand finale campaign rally, ahead of the November 11 Governorship Election in the state.
The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni and other prominent politicians were also in the APC entourage to Bayelsa for the campaign.
This is contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Director General, Press Affairs of Gombe State.
The statement said Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who is also the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, is leading this campaign effort to ensure the success of the APC and its candidate, Timipreye Sylva.
The rally is expected to draw attention and drum up support from the electorate, as the APC’s leadership and key figures converge to convey their message and garner the necessary backing for Sylva and the APC.
Recall that Governor Inuwa was recently in Bayelsa where he met with critical stakeholders, igniting the spirit of party members and allaying their concerns about the earlier court judgment against the party’s governorship candidate, Timipreye Sylva.
The Appeal Court has, however, overturned that judgment and declared Sylva duly qualified to contest the November 11 election.
During that meeting, Governor Inuwa encouraged them to stand firm, assuring them of victory at the end by God’s grace.
