Mekdad arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday having been invited by the Saudi International Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, each Saudi and Syrian state media reported.
The go to is the primary by a Syrian international minister to Saudi Arabia since 2011, when the battle in Syria started.
